Aberdeenshire is a county or council area as they are often referred by the Scottish government, in Scotland along the East coast. Despite the name Aberdeenshire the city of Aberdeen is not actually part of this county, is in fact considered as it's own separate council area known as the City of Aberdeen, although is in located within the county of Aberdeen.

As it borders the North Sea there is some spectacular coastal countryside to found in the county of Aberdeenshire and many thousands of tourists visit the area ever year to experience this unique Scottish countryside for themselves. There is also a great deal of wildlife to be seen around Aberdeenshire. However, if you're planning to visit the area then it is best to do so during the summer and the winter months in Aberdeenshire can be bitterly cold, which can be very uncomfortable for people who are not use to such low temperatures. However most of the residents in this area of Scotland are quite used to these temperatures and do not mind at all.
